	The lady in the Strawberry Tam is Maura Furie.  A native of Detroit, Maura retired to the small town calm of Michigan's Thumb where she creates quilts and knitted delights. Maura has always loved dogs.  Her first was a big Irish Setter named Blue.  Hamish, a Border Collie helps with the sheep. Maura has fostered many a stray dog in her time.  Daisy, a Shiba Inu, was the first foster at our home in the country.  Daisy is the "cover girl" on Maura's just published book: Forever Home: A Guide to Rehoming the Rescued Dog Maura also works with Papillon and Midwest Boston Terrier dog rescue. She danced with "Hole in the Bog Morris and Mummers" and runs sound for Irish Ballad group "Ourselves". She also makes patterns of sound on a cross strung harp.
